poor baby Dallas started getting hot and then a mean horses fly bit him on his little arm and he actually had two bleeding puncture wounds and starting crying. darn all horse flies. I do NOT love THAT about Indiana. Only half an hour of picking and we were done. It took us almost twice as long to get there than the time we spent picking, but when Dallas is done we have no choice but to be done as well. So We combined both of our buckets and got one whole pound! yay. haha. The lady that we paid back in the barn was almost laughing at our little one pounder but she obviously didn't have any kids and therefore couldn't understand. It is SO cheap if you go pick the blueberries. I think it was $1.70 per lb. You can't buy the tiny cartons at the store for that much. and the blueberries were soooo goood. We tried a few things with the blueberries and my all time favorite was blueberry pancakes that I made for Dylan's birthday which I'll show you when I post that event. (look at me already planning future posts, I must be getting in the mind set of a true blogger.) So after we got Dallas a drink of water and buckled in the car, I sat in the back with him and he was so cute! Here he is with our vast abundance.
It didn't take long before he was going....
....going....
....gone!
Oh how I long for the good ol' midwest! I miss the green and all of the fun little farms and pick it yourself places. I'm glad you made it out for some blueberry picking. That's not too bad if you ened up with a pound in such a short amount of time. Dallas is SO adorable! I love the "going, going, gone" pictures at the end. Give that cute baby a kiss on his little owie for me:) Can't wait to see the blueberry pancakes!
ReplyDeleteSo jealous! I LOVE blueberries and bb pancakes are a huge hit at our house too. I would die for $1.70/lb, I cough up the $2.50/pint because I can't start my day without greek yogurt, blue berries and granola. I love seeing all these pictures of Dallas, I can finally get to know my adorable little nephew!
